Interiors is already well established on the design scene, with exclusive features from the world of art, interior design, cuisine and travel. The magazine is extending a special offer for GoodWeave members in its August flooring issue. For just $4,950 for a full page, four-color ad, GoodWeave members will receive an editorial spread in a new product section, called Detail, and 50 free gift subscriptions for clients. As an added incentive, all members who use the GoodWeave logo in their ads will receive an additional 5% off.  Ad space closes June 10.

A special thanks to our partners Massachusetts-based Landry & Arcari and The Rug Source in Denver for hosting Faces of Freedom, extending the photo exhibit’s run yet another month. The exhibit, along with Landry & Arcari’s exquisite rugs, created an inspiring backdrop for a pair of events benefitting GoodWeave, complete with weaving demonstrations, live traditional music and Nepalese folk dancers. The company’s generous rug raffle also raised more than $1,000 —and significant awareness—to benefit GoodWeave’s programs.

Meanwhile, The Rug Source in Denver hosted a version of the exhibit for the Rocky Mountain Designers Week. The showroom, a longstanding GoodWeave partner, complemented the exhibit with certified rugs from Odegard, Inc., New Moon Rugs, Lapchi and STILE BK.

The show continues this month in Chicago at Odegard’s Merchandise Mart showroom for neo-Con, and back to Washington, DC for a child labor conference sponsored by the U.S. Department of State. Let us know if you would like to be Faces of Freedom’s next host! 

From the time he was born, Pravin's parents wanted only the best for him. They both worked long hours in a Kathmandu carpet factory, and despite their low income, they managed to send Pravin to school until he was seven years old. Then Pravin's brother was born—and Pravin's parents were forced to make a choice that no parent should have to make. No longer able to afford Pravin's tuition, they withdrew him from school.
